From time to time, I like to take a break from the world of international espionage and Land Rover Defenders, and write some romantic comedy. Here are a few of the projects I'm working on:
The Untied Kingdom
Major Harker is fighting an endless war in a third world country that's tearing itself apart. It's called England.
This book started out as a spelling mistake, careened off a medical website explaining that a routine injection given in the UK was only used in Third world countries, ricoheted into my massive crush on Richard Armitage and became something weird and wonderful that I love almost as much as I love Sophie.

It Had To Be You
Loli's mother always told her not to fall for a music man.
The last one left her broke and living in a VW camper van. And when Ben Montagu, hotshot music manager, crashes said van, she doesn't even have that.
Still, at least he tries to make amends—installing her in his swanky beach villa and replacing all the band equipment he's just destroyed. Oh yes—Loli's band. The one she manages. The one that's on the cusp of stardom. Ben thinks they're great, and they are...but that can't be the only reason he's interested in Loli, can it?

It Had To Be You features an up-and-coming...okay, an amateur rock band. This is a world I'm kinda familiar with, what with my brother being a small-time musician and all. I've been to the grotty venues, I've seen the labyrinthine contracts, and I've heard the record company bullshit. And I know as well as Loli—never trust a music man!

I don't have a blurb for this one yet. I don't even have the first line. What I do have is a line from a Nerina Pallot song that set the whole thing off:
"I am an angel with the knowledge of a sinner"
