The Sophie Green Mysteries About four years ago I was at the cinema with my friend Alysia (I promise, this is going somewhere) and an advert came on for Johnny English, starring Rowan Atkinson as a pretty rubbish spy, tagline: "He knows no fear. He knows no danger. He knows nothing." And I said to Alysia, "That's what I'd be like if I was a spy." Idly, she responded, "You should write a book about that." So I did. Utilising my in-depth knowledge of, er, low-cost airlines and airport security procedures, I wrote a book about a dizzy blonde who gets recruited by a small government agency. She has at her disposal a Land Rover Defender, a small cat called Tammy, a pair of DD cups and a nice line in snappy comebacks. She doesn't speak any foreign languages and she has no idea how to fire a gun, but hell, she looks good in evening dress. Nate Kelly is a spy. At least, he is until Christmas, when he’s retiring to take up something more peaceful, like alligator wrestling or bomb disposal. Because while he’s tired of being shot at, he’s also not sure he really wants to live the life of a civilian. First, of course, he has to finish his current case, complete with arms dealers, mobsters, and celebrity parties. Not to mention the glamorous Russian femme fatale who’s hacking into the same computer files as Nate, lying to the same people, and incidentally has the worst Russian accent he’s ever heard. But just because she’s his enemy’s enemy, doesn’t necessarily mean she’s his friend. On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love lied to me.

The First Book
But Sophie Green is, and she’s just been hired by a highly secret government agency. She drives a car the colour of bile and is obsessed with Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She doesn’t know which end of the gun to fire from and her hair hasn’t been natural since she was twelve. But that’s not going to stop her from trying to save the day, once she figures out who to save it from. Sexy spies, plane crashes, firebombs and multicoloured cocktails—they’re all in a day’s work for Sophie. Roll over, Bond, there’s a new bombshell in town. And it’s got Sophie’s name on it…
Never underestimate the blonde.

The Second Book
Her best friend is being stalked, and to find out why, Sophie has to solve a murder committed fifteen years ago. Complicating the case is Docherty, whose brooding eyes and Irish accent get Sophie almost as hot as his Aston Martin—and her partner Luke, who may be sexy as hell but has all the interpersonal skills of a speeding bullet. Not that Sophie’s going to allow the state of her love life to distract her from her mission. Much. Murder plots, stolen supercars, coolheaded mercenaries and mysterious artifacts? Must be a Tuesday.
Things are about to get pretty.

The Third Book Cosmically inept spy Sophie Green is dispatched to the Big Apple on the trail of an invisible man. What she finds is an artist, a conspiracy and some very large men with guns. Meanwhile, her gorgeous partner, Luke, is getting worryingly intimate. Could it really be time for him to meet her parents? Sophie, spy extraordinaire, isn’t overwhelmed just yet. Until she’s informed of the new terms of her assignment. No longer Sophie Green: Spy, now she’ll become Sophie Green: Teenager. Yep, she’s being sent to the scariest place on earth. Back to school. Growing up can be murder.
